Function include()

I have problem with include(). When I tried to include a file located in another directory, I get this warning:

Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/iglu/home/webcreator/include/version.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (.) in /iglu/home/webcreator/modules/news/common.php on line 39

Warning: main(/iglu/home/webcreator/include/version.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: Operation not permitted in /iglu/home/webcreator/modules/news/common.php on line 39

Warning: main() [function.main]: Failed opening '/iglu/home/webcreator/include/version.php' for inclusion (include_path='.') in /iglu/home/webcreator/modules/news/common.php on line 39

It seems for me that this is a server problem as I could use the same script on another server and found no problem. As this is a free host and I have no access to the server, I am wondering if I have some way to run the include() function. Please someone help me. Thanks.

No, I am afraid you cannot include that file unless it is moved within your document root or, the starting point of your base_dir restriction.

Not that I know of. That error message doesn't look right though.... Have your ISP check that.

For example, I tried doing that on our system and got this message:

From your error message it appears the files must be in the same directory as the script calling them for include.

What is your document root here? /iglu/home/webcreator ? Where does the openbase_dir restriction begin? Ask your ISP and let us know.

Your full path looks wrong.

Normally it would be:

/home/iglu/webcreator/...
