need help with a code

ive got a game website, and i used to use frames, but now i use tablesm which means i have to type (or cut n paste) all the navigation text and links etc

so i was wondering if anyone could help me with a code that can use to just have all the links on 1 page and then just to put this ocde rather thabn puting all this again, and changing lins manualy.

Somebody please help, i am a complete newb at php

Lets say you have the following links:

<a href="index.php">Home</a><br>
<a href="about.php">About Us</a><br>
<a href="contact.php">Contact Us</a><br>

Copy and paste those into a file and call it nav.php and save it in the same directory as index, about, and contact.php are

Then, where you would want it to appear on your page, use

<? include("nav.php"); ?>

Now if you modify nav.php, it will update the navigation on all the pages.

EDIT: i also have another problem, ive been searching for a few weeks now, for a program or a script that lets me download files from another host. Do you know where i can ge one?

download files from anoter host? Like an ftp program? Not sure what you're looking for, but if it's a script, check hotscripts.com
