total newbie question

Okay here's a newbie question for you, I am unable to view php locally on my machine...I am running MS PWS, do I need something else, or do I need to put a .htaccess file in my web directory locally (that's what I had to do on my site online)
Please help a newbie....

You should be able to run PHP. Make sure you have downloaded PHP install exe.
Now i think the folder is wwwpublie or wwwroot. For were web files are suppose to go. Make sure they are there.

If it doesnt let you still. Download Apache and install it.

i suggest you to check:

it includes APACHE for windows, and PHP running on it, wth MYSQL data bases ..
