looking for a tar file of zip codes

Im having trouble doing a table dump of 30k plus zip codes and was wondering if anyone had it, or knew of a place where one could get this in a backed up .tar file or gzip package that could easily be moved from one server to another.

If you know of a place, or have this, please give me a link and I will download it.

I am working on a zipcode locator script and the table dump I have will not restore properly.

Any help is appreciated.

Seeing as no one has responded yet, I'll jump in. 😉

Are you just inserting zip codes into your database? How are they layed out? Ex:

98014
98456
93215

or

98521,98654,98541

Depending how it's layed out, you could accomodate it to suit your needs and fit your database, and use loops and arrays to and INSERT statements to insert into your table. I recently did that with a list of 100 names and email addresses, and inputed into my database using the fields

fname
lname
email

and it worked great!
