I want to display my text on the screen but only the beginning and then a sign of ... will follow and a link named more.

in this case, some texts will start with few words but some others will contain unfinished words in the beginning.
Is there any string finction similar to this which you define how many words from the beginning would you like to see in the text?
any other ideas?
Write your own parser.
Start at the max # of chars you'd like and iterate backwords through the string looking for a space, or whatever character you'd like to cut the string off at.
