about file operation

if i wanna open a file , read the content,and then replace it with something else.

which parameter shoule i use ?

fopen("filename","w+");

seams not work correctly . 🙁

it's probably used for counters ,and the "exec" function is disabled on the server.

You would use two different fopen() instances, I believe.

First read the file using fopen($file, 'r'), then close that connection and open a new one to write: fopen($file, 'w').

That's what I have done right now,but i believe there will be one or more mothod to slove this problem ,using only one "fopen" and one "fclose"

Nope, GSHelpBoy is right, you must open the file using fopen once to read it. Then you would close the file and open if again for writing.
That's the reason working with files can be such a pain in the rear.
