Hi

does anyone know how to multiply $totalCost by 1.75
ive tried

$vat = ($totalCost * "1.75");

but this doesnt work.

Try taking out the quotes.

$vat = ($totalCost * 1.75);

That will work. If it doesn't, check your caps on $totalcost and check for a value. You can echo all variables also.
