Connecting to a mySQL database on a remote virtual host

I use a unix-based hosting service that uses virtual hosting. I have created several databases for the different domains in my account. Unfortunately, I can only access one of these with Dreamweaver MX and other programs, on one domain only. The hosting service says I can only access the database via "localhost," not externally. When I try to access the databases (except the one which DOES work), I get error 1045 (Password= YES).

I created the tables using PHPmyadmin. I'm new to this. Any help would be MOST appreciated. Thanks!

You should only be able to access them on localhost as ISPs always (almost always) set the host to 'localhost'. If you want to build your site on your local machine using nasty tools like Dreamweaver MX ( :rolleyes: ), then you should install mysql server locally for development purposes.
