remote connect to mysql.server, CANNOT CONNECT

ok i try to explaine what really of problem i have

my remote server is
- linux mandrake8.2
- mysql ver= 3.23.51

i am trying to connect trough odbc, i got an error

i am trying to connect to mysql database.name with password and user.name, i connecting from my pc

if i connecting to local mysql which is installed on my pc all is ok, one work say odbc and myodbc works normally, but when connect is remote, nothing, i got the error.

this mysql.database.user have privileges for hosts = any

anybody can help me !

why are you trying to use ODBC to connect to mysql from php in the first place?

It doesn't make sense.

I suggest you post your code and more details of the problems you are encountering.

You need to set up permissions on that server to connect to it from a site which is not the "localhost". You need to contact the admin, in all likelihood they won't let you connect because it is a shared server.
