printing php from database

Is there any way to print php code from a database? The Php inside of mySQL is not being picked up when parsed.

lookup htmlspecialchars() in php.net

you have to format your database code with this function before you print it to the screen

any code inside your database will be treated as text. Are you wanting to hold your scripts in the database then extract and execute?

Okay, I'm still not quite getting it. I tried the eval(), it showed the image, but it didn't give the link or fade. Here's what I have in my db record:

<?php popup("", "Spirit Free", "images/01001.jpg", "images/01001_thm.gif", "Spirit Free", "ghighlight,20"); ?>

Then the 'popup' there is called from an include on the page that has the display info for the db.

This worked fine under just pure html and php, however my php code just doesn't correctly display under the database record.

This is just so frustrating. I appreciate any help that has been given. Thank you.

so there always must be a mistake in the code:
$free = !$hope && !$fear;

the popup command looks like javascript? inwhich case you need to echo that out so the browser can run the command, not php.

The popup is dodo's nmimage popup written in php, but the fade is in javascript. I just can't get the db to recognize the php code in the record. I'm through with it tonight. Maybe tomorrow will bring better luck.
