open a link in a iframe

i have a index.php with a table in it , on the left side you have a table with links, on the right you have a TD with an iframe in it...
now, i would like it that the pages (links) from the left opens in the iframe (ifame name ="main")

this is one link on the index.php:
<li><a href="?pagina=gallerij">Gallerij</a></li>

i know how to open it in a different TD but how to open it in the iframe?

Not really a PHP question is it???

Anyway...you need to do it via Javascript. Personally, I'd do it with a DIV function...but that's me...and I'm wierd.

If you add an ID to the iframe (id="main") you just can say:

<a href="yourlink" target="main"></a>

This should work. Otherwise you can use javascript to change the src of Main like:
<script language='javascript'>
document.all.main.src = yourlink
</script>
