about the orignal syntaxin /etc/crontab

I have delete the /etc/crontab by mistake.
Will the lost of this file affect the performance of the server (I also want to add some command for running a .php at a specific time)?

I am using :
Red Hat Linux release 8.0 (Psyche
Kernel 2.4.18-17.8.0 on an i686

If possible, can you help me to find the original synta of this file?
