data of one field to another

i have two fields in a table, field1 and field2. the data on both fields are exactly the same. i have ruined the data on field2 . how do i copy the data of field1 to field2? what is the syntax? thanks. 🙂 🙁

Have you tried the SQL statement update table set field2=field1?
