Finding a date between two dates

Alright, this is what I'm up too. I have three dates. One is an arrival date, two is a departure date, the third is a date between the arrival and departure dates. All the dates are in this format '2003-12-8'.

What I need to do is use php to be able to determine whether the third date is inbetween the arrival and departure dates. If it is inbetween those dates then it should return true or else false.

Any help is much appreciated.

have you tryed somthing like this?

if ($date3 > $date1 && $date3 < $date2) {

} else {

}

no I didn't, I wasn't sure how to even compare dates at all. I'll give that a try real quick.

hey that worked great, thanks. You don't happen to know how to increment a date like that by one day do you? I tried something like this but it incremented it by a year.

$date = "2003-01-08";
echo $date + 1;

but the results are '2004'. Do I need to turn it into a timestamp first?

humm no not really

Im mean as a existing date

you can do somthig like

date() + 1

you could alwasy take the date explode it then add to it

$var = "1-21-2002";

$var = explode("-", $var);

you might beable to do somthing with that

though that will put it into a array you want a string kinda how parse_str(); works
