Document management

hi there,

i have a series of manuals (currently in word format) that split up into various sections and subsections with section titles.

i would like my users to be able to search on or link to the various sections.

i am trying to find the best way of doing this as i have never attempted this before.

i realise i could just do it in plain old html, but there are 3 manuals each about 200 pages (at least)

is there an easy way for me to implement this type of system?

my server uses mySQL and php

I would recommend you look into an XML format for your manuals and use PHP to provide an interface to it.

MySQL is also a good alternative.
