Finding image size (in KB), width & height...

I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for finding out those three things.

For example, I pass in an URL of an image and I want to know the physical size (in K😎, the height and width (both in pixels) so I can validate it and refuse it if it's too big.

Also, another question: Does anyone have a good function for parsing in vB code? (for example, the [ img ] tags, the [ url ] tags)

Well, you'll have to read the file to get its dimensions, and to do that you have to receive it.

Assuming that you've now got it sitting on your server, you'd then use [man]filesize[/man] and [man]getimagesize[/man] on it.

For your other question, I remember seeing something of the sort at www.phpclasses.org. You can either look there or search this site for some of the umpty-ump threads that cover the same sort of question.

Cheers. I found the ubbcode class at phpclasses.org, which is exactly what I wanted.

And I also found the imagesize stuff too 🙂
