how do i get this to work

EXCEL FUNCTION NEED HELP

="UPDATE APC_batteries SET prodprice=&B1 WHERE SKU=&A1"

this doesn't work in excel

it just shows:

UPDATE APC_batteries SET prodprice=&B1 WHERE SKU=&A1

I'm trying to get it to show the contents of CELL B1 AND CELL A1

lets say B1 is 25.50 and A1 is apples

i want it to show:

UPDATE APC_batteries SET prodprice='25.50' WHERE sku='apples'

make sense?

Excel is a SpreadSheet. Thus your using SQL. In other words.

Excel cannot do anything with the Update etc.

You did however say what you wanted

try this in a cell

$c$1=$a$1
Im not sure if that will work but its been quite a while since i worked with Spreedsheets
