Download file to server

Is there a PHP command that downloads a file from a site to the server?

If you have an ip address for the server and can do an ftp connection, you can use CURL to connect and download the file. I don't know any way to download a file to your own PC or anyone elses.

Or are you wondering about MIME and content types? I'm actually working on that myself right now, not ready to be a help.
