no error message,why?

I use php 4.1 with Apache server in windows 2000 system. I can not get error message when I make a errror in php program.I only get a empty page.I need the detail error message to fix problem.

Please let me know how to change config files.which file I have to change and how to change it.

At the top of the scirpt you can set the error reporting to a higher level.

error_reporting()
Just put in whatever integer is relevant to the debugging you are doing.
