Domain Name Help With Apache!

i bought a domain name but what do i enter into the name server? i made one with dyndns.org but this error came up

The following errors were encountered:
Communications Error. Please try again later. (Command failed: unable to verify existence of nameserver hbd1.dyndns.org)

Unfortunately, seems that domain names do no run on Internet time.
You have to give the place you registered the domain with time to broadcast it.
You should have been given an IP number. When I registered my domain 3 years ago, I had to use it for several days.
Do you understand what a nameserver is??? If not, that could be your problem.

If you have your own domain name, you need to know what a nameserver is.
I am not into hardware, but it is the big daddy of the Internet that stores all the domain names.
Your domain name registrar needs to know (from your hosting company) the name of the server on which your domain resides.
I recently changed hosting conpanies and had to notify my registrar of the new nameserver and they had to change it before I could use are-l-gee.com.
Since web hosting fees have plummeted, so have web hosting service. You have to know what your rights are, and make sure you don't get jerked around.
