'2003-xx-xx xx:xx:xx' from '2002-xx-xx xx:xx:xx'

nnichols: you seem to be one of the better people on this board when it comes to MySQL (atleast from the posts I've seen). My MySQL skills kind of suck, I was wondering, besides the online documentation, what resources have you used? Good books, tutorials, just playing around, etc.

I spend far too much time just playing around and/or 'trial and error'. But I do have one GREAT book - MySQL by Paul DuBois - it is the most complete resource for MySQL, better than the online documentation.

But the most important place for learning has been here and devshed. Some of the db guys on devshed are amazing, and a couple of them have really in depth knowledge of the internal workings of mysql.
