help with displaying limited results

Hi,

I have a problem that is related to limiting the results displayed in a page.

I have a numbered pagination script working that has a limit etc. At the moment it is milited to displaying 8 results before producing the next link.

What I have is a table with 2 columns and 4 rows....a grid of 8. I want the results to start in the top left and then when 2 table cells have been created it will start a new row and do this for all of the results

ie:

1 2
3 4
5 6
7 8

Basically, i need code that will make a new row start when 2 results have been displayed in that row.
