File Upload Problem php4.2.2

I am having problem uploading files using php4.2.2 under redhat 8.0 and apache 2.0.40.

The files I am trying to upload are .jpg images. (about 9k in size) They do get uploaded to the server, however they end up being about 20k in size. When viewed from the server, they then appear corrupt. (image shows, however it is definitely corrupt)

What would cause these corrupt uploads? I didn't have any problems on an old system running redhat 7.1 and php3.

Can anyone suggest what might cause these corruption issues with images?

hmm just a thought but it kinda sounds like your uploading them in binary mode ..

can we see the script?

Actually, that is the problem - it appears that the files are being uploaded as text rather than binary. Here is my upload script. Appreciate the input!

Hmm well the move_uploaded_file function dosent have any mode functions well just for fun try the copy command i use it on my site and it works with images text and exe all fine

one more thing about your path to is that because your doing debugging cause its going to overwrite the old file thats on the server already

Yes, I am putting it in just for debugging. As well, I have tried the copy command and same problem. (I did just try a cut and paste of your code but run into the same problem) I am attaching the input file and the resulting uploaded file as well to show you what is happening to the file. Note the difference in file sizes. The uploaded file is much larger than the original. Attached to this message is the original image I am uploading. Next message will have what it appears on the server as.

I have the same problem . I search google. and find it is a bugs of php .

Does anyone know any good solution for this bugs ? or try latest php ? older version ? My OS:redhat linux 8.0 php 4.2.2 apache 2.0.40-8
