How do I give a php file access to my sessions/cookie. I have a website done completely in php. Right now all I have on it is news and forums. I am trying to add a chat. The chat added it's on tables to by database, but I change the login code so people don't have to register for the chat seperately and they don't have to enter a password. As long they enter a user name that is registered with my site they can get in. I mean it's not great, but it's better than just about every other chat script on the net. All of them just let you enter any name you want and go right into the chat.
But now I need to integrate the chat with my news and forums. If people login to my site, I want them to just be able to follow a linkto the chat, and if they are logged into my site. They are logged into the chat. Somehow I need the chat to check to see who on that computer is logged into my forum and put that person into the chat room.
