POS Web Application

To whom it may concern:

I'm going to begin coding a POS Web Application for a Record Store in my area for a personal friend of mine. I'm looking for anyone that can devote time to beta development of a POS system. Please understand there will be no compensation for you work and I understand most people wouldn't bother, however, I do feel there are some that will. I'm going to need a few helpers in this project and if you are interested please contact me via one of the following methods for further detailing:

Personnally. Getting people willing to actually help is one thing. For them to actually do something constructive is another.

Try aiming for people at around your coding level. You may get better help than. Who knows you may get someone to take this as a learning experince and have no idea what PHP is.

You want people to help you for free, to create an application which your friend will subsequently make money from????

Hmm, I think thats taking the open source community just a little too much for mugs!

Code it by yourself. You'll learn far more yourself as you have to tackle the various problems you'll encounter, BUT as its just you doing the coding, you'll end up with a commercially viable application which you could subsequently sell. Share the development with any number of others and you can't do that.

coding for fun is one thing, creating forums and community sites but coding for a commercial operation (your friends record store) SHOULD imply that your friend should be paying somebody to construct/develop a system for him. Alternatively, why not go grab a copy of oscommerce which really is open source and tailor it to your friends needs

oh, you mean point of sale, I thought POS Web Application meant you had an application that was really bad. A Piece-Of-S#!@ application.
