Cookie file is not created

I have written a simple cookie php script and uploaded to the remote linux server. But I can not see the result in the browser. The most fatal point is that the cookie file is not created in "D:\Documents and Settings\MyName\Cookies\" directory. I don't know why.

This script can be run on my own localhost.

Could anyone tell me what's wrong with this server, or should I edit httpd.conf or php.ini? Thank you a lot!

Server-side: PHP 4.3.0, Linux 2.4.18-3.
Client-side: Windows 2000 Professional

Nope, never.
This cookie script can be run on localhost, which indicates the cookie function is not closed in my browser.

Try this:

setcookie("cookiename","cookievalue",time()+3600, "/", "");

or

setcookie("cookiename","cookievalue", time()+3600, "/", ".yourwebsite.com");

make sure

1. a dot (.) before your website name.
2. No "http://www"
