Hi, this is my third question in 2 days! 😉

I included an image of what i am trying to do, it's the only way i can explain myself, since half the time i make no sense 😛

okay. Basically, i am trying to get other articles (topic), that are under the same category, so when i post my news I can have a "related" section with 4 - 5 other articles that are the same category as the original article.

I hope that makes sense, how do i get other topics that meet the same category?

i got a headache thinking of how to do it, any suggestion?

try to use this query to call other articles in the same category:

SELECT id,topic FROM table WHERE category='$category' AND id<>'$id' ;

make sure you pass $category and $id when you access the page.

somefile.php?id=idvalue&category=categoryname

i already have a query going, can I add it all into one line? this query gets the news.

	$result = $db->sql("SELECT * FROM $news WHERE id = '$HTTP_GET_VARS[id]' AND active = '1'" );
  while ($row = mysql_fetch_row($result)) {

why somefile.php?id=idvalue&category=categoryname ??

i only want the "related" topics listed on the page, then i can link them to their page by comments.php?id=$id
