Search engine dilemma

Hey Guys/Gals,

I have a dilemma here. I am using match/against feature of mySQL to do searches against three columns.

column1 column2 column3
jack jill joe
apple joe bee
joe apple jill

so if I search for joe, i get all 3 results back BUT i want to show row 3 first since I want to sort by columns (not columns and alphabetical) so for example return should look like this:

joe, apple, jill
apple,joe,bee
jack, jill, joe

Catch my drift? ITs really bugging me. If you have any comments or suggestions or solution (hopping) ..... it would be of great help. thanks in advance.

create an id as a 4 column and then add ORDER BY column4 DESC at the end of your query

I have tried that but it ended up sorting on id and it still doesn't give back the result i need 🙁

what is the query that is returning the results that you don't want?
