PHP Email Parser

hi folks!!
so ... i was searching the web for days now to find an email parser which is able to process INLINE images!!

does anybody out there have an idea, if it is possible to let them in the HTML doc and use the <img ... tag in any way to display them???

or does anybody have an idea how to handle such things??
or can anybody give me a tip what i could to??

well, i could store all inline img as seperate files and rebuild the <img src=".... tags, but i want the user to be able to download the HTML files as PDF, with the img inside and the files are not stored in the webservers path so i use an php script for displaying imgs!!

i can't find a solution!!

I'm sort of confused by your question 🙂 The subject mentions a e-mail parser, but no where in your post you mention e-mail. You also mention about PDF files, and I can't seem to figure out how PDF files fit into your problem...

ok ... let's say:

I HAVE ...
(01) a script which parses all kind of emails ( text, html, and all kind of multi-parts )!
(02) the emails are downloaded by php imap functions!
(03) it processes attachments, that means, it cuts of the binary data from the email and creates the file(s)!!

AND I NEED ....
(01) a solution for html-email which have the pictures inside the email

the advantage of html-email with inline-pics is, that you don't have to be connected to the internet during viewing, the binary data of the inline-pics is STORED IN THE MAIL!!!!
if you get such a mail and open it e.g. with outlook, outlook checks the inline images and cuts them off, to a temp-dir and then displays the message!

so ... i DON'T NEED any php-functions ... i know where to find them!
i need an idea how to store the binary data from html-inline-pics because all my data ( xml-data-files, images, etc ) are NOT STORED in the webserver-path for security reasons!!!
if i want to display a image, i make this with a php-script ( image.php ) which opens the file ( fopen ) and passes the binary-data to the image.php, which displays the image!

and if i had stored the email i have a php-script which makes from .txt and .html files .pdf files!!
but i can't make a pdf file if i have the images not in the webserver-path!!

confusing ... isn't it!!
