javascript link in a php--

Man -- this is driving me nuts!!

I am working on integrating my forum with myPHPchat
I've got all the hard parts worked out (thanks to some help from www.vb.org)

what I want to do is open a browser in a new window when a user clicks on a link. this window needs to have the menu bars, and address bars turned off. (no big deal.. right)

the problem is the link includes a couple of variables that PHP uses. (a username and a password in particular)

so when I try to include these variables in the java script, it freaks...

here is the link

print "<a href=\"/chat/index.php3?U=$chatname&PWD_Hash=$chatpass&Ver=H&L=english&R0=SVOCA+Boost+Central&T=1&D=10&N=200&EN=1\">SVOCA Boost Central</a><br>";

I've tried a couple of different ways with javascript, but none have worked..
anyone have any sugestions please 🙂
This is probably pretty simple, I just am not getting it!!!!!

Try out that:

i have tried using the same thing as you are and hopping in and out with js was a pain, if the solution from swon works, post back your success

I can't believe I didn't think to put the variables in <? ?>
