Connecting to Ltus Notes database

Quick Question...

I have a client who runs Lotus Notes and wishes me to design a database driven website for them. Issue is it's a Notes database (not sure if its proprietary or what?). Is php able to communicate with a Notes database, that is make connections, query, insert, select etc.?

You certainly can. You will have to use ODBC.
