detecting a firewall

is there a way to detect if a use has a firewall. if the user does I want to redirect to and message page!

Why the heck would you care if a user has a firewall? In any case, portscan the users. If most/all of the ports are closed, they've got a firewall. This is avery good technique if you like to have people pissed off at you.

You may try checking the brower, firewalls generally change the browser string.

The PHP script will get the browser string. Check if it is a known browser/robot. if yes continue else show warning

you may also check if browser is a firewall, if it is then show warning else dont.
