uploads in 3.0.12

Hi, I am looking for a browser file transfer method for someone who needs to edit part of his webpage from different locations on earth. Just a script that would update one image on the server would do but my problem is (probably) that the server has an older version of php (3.0.12) installed. I've tried bealers easy-upload script, but its probably too new. Is it at all possible to do uploads in 3.0.12? Are there any other (non-php-?) solutions for this problem?

I couldn't confirm whether or not this version supports file uploads, but there is one way of knowing - check php.ini for a function called file_uploads.

If this exists, then set the value to 1 (if it is currently on 0) or true (if it is currently on false)
