Round not rounding the way I want

See when you tell round($ar, 2)

It will round to two but if its 2.60 it will show 2.6??

Hi,
I had a ticket price variable that i was pulling from a database and I had the same problem.

I noticed that my data type was 'float' in mysql and only carried one decimal point if the last number was a 0....so there were not enough numbers to the right of the decimal point to round it to 2.

When I changed my datatype to 'decimal (4,2)' in my database, the round function worked perfectly.

Not knowing where your variable was coming from, I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

number_format will also do what you need to do.
