Php & Iis

I am running XP PRO With IISv5.1 and would like to be able to run php scripts.

So i go to the php.net site to download a copy of php.

PHP 4.3.0 installer [1,028Kb] - 27 December 2002
(CGI only, MySQL support built-in, packaged as Windows installer to install and configure PHP, and automatically configure IIS, PWS and Xitami, with manual configuration for other servers. N.B. no external extensions included)

'CGI only' ? Does it setup everything for you or should i know something?

Does anyone here have a setup like this? (xp pro | IIS | php)

AAARRRRGGHHH!!! Dont use the windows installer to install PHP. Instead, download the windows binaries file and do it that way.

(Oh, and the CGI bit means that it runs as a CGI script instead of a module. This is less secure than the module way)

If you want any more reasons for installing the binaries instead of using the installer, you don't get any of the extensions when you use the installer. If you need to use any of the extensions, you HAVE to use the binaires.
