script to extract information from e-mails?

hey there,

hope someone can help me with this!

i'm trying to figure out how to write a script which will extract images e-mailed to a particular e-mail address.

for example, bob e-mails an image of himself to [e-mail]. a script then automatically extracts the image from the e-mail and sticks it on a webpage.

have any of you heard of scripts like this?
