installs but ocx missing

I am new to php and trying to install php. It all seems ok apart from an error I get about an ocx missing.
Using Win2k, IIS5

Any ideas?

Firstly, it sounds to me like theres a problem with IIS/Win2K rather than. I can't think why PHP would come up with an ocx error.

Secondly, how are you installing PHP? Are you using the windows installer method? If so, then I suggest that you download the binaries method of installation. The added bonus of using this method is that you get all the extensions, whereas if you use the windows installer, you don't.

I'm using the windowd installer. Not to confident about using the binary and then amending the ini file.
Are there any idiot guides around for complete beginers?

The install.txt file pretty much covers everything that you will need to do with the php.zip step by step. If you run into any troubles you can always post here and we'll be glad to help.

Got it installed and tested it with a DATE TIME SCRIPT
The reason it wasn't working was due to pilot error - namely me!
