File problems....

Ok, I got a page which displays information per person whether they have been somewhere or not. Now the ones mean they were there that day. The 0's mean they havent. Problem is the formatting is atrocious....

Now problem was I lost my whole computer down the drain. I have been slowly rebuilding this php script but I am horribly stuck. I want to do the names via a text file, read that file as a "config" file and also the other 7 days are also files.
What it used to do is look through each daily file search for that name then output a 1 or 0.....
Anybody got any ideas on how to advance through the days and make it look better?

Ok, thinking about what would look nice...

a table with the 7 days in columns along the top and people's names going down the rows, but not being repeated over and over, just the 1/0 in the columns under the dates.

Now the 1 or 0 might get changed to images or something, up to you how it looks from there.

So, how to get this.

read each of the 7 days stats into multidimensional arrays and then, when all the data is collected and collatted you build your html table from the array. That way the data looks good.

ok...so how do I get the info from the individual files into a array. See the 1's and 0's are from counting some names from a array and looking through each individual file....
