PHP IRC script already existant?

I'm curious as to there's a current PHP script that exists that can see who's in a certain IRC chat room and print out who's currently in there? If not, how hard would it be to implement, if it's even possible? Or is there a key point I'm missing for it to be possible...? Thanks.
