Displaying DB data

I have started to build a MySQL database, how do I make a page display records in the database?

Well, first you'll have to make a query that will get the data, and if there are several rows that should be displayed, then you'll need to use a loop. Try something like this:

// mysql connection stuff here!

$sql = "SELECT * FROM YourTable";
$result = mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error());

while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result,1))
{
echo $row['FieldName1'].' = '.$row['FieldName2'].'<br>';
}

?>

I was trying something just like that, but what am I supposed to put in the // mysql connection stuff here! part?

You have to start from a basic foundation and it's best if you spend some time to educate yourself.

Use this forum when you run into problems. Your question is a basic one asked by many on this forum that gathers little interest after some point in time when the original thread heads into many different directions.
