Sockets

How can I enable sockets with PHP 4.3.0?

I have read I have to add '--enable-sockets' to my configure script, but I don't know where to add it.

I've tried my Apache file, and the PHP INI file, but it still doesn't fix it.

This applies to unix/linux servers, not windows:

When you compile PHP you should have typed some line like:

./Configure --with-apache=... --other-options...

To use the "--enable-sockes" option, type it at the end of that line.

This isn't a very indepth reply, but maybe its something you can use to get started...

im guessing this on windows ? the instructions to add --enable-sockets to your configure script was aimed towards *nix users ./configure --with....

I may be wrong.. try a google groups search, or someone hear will pipe up (this should also be in the "installation" forum i think.
