also not 12 hour, but 24 hour

I do this to create timestamp in YYYYMMDDHHSS format.

Generate and format the timestamp.

$datein=date("YmdHis");

you can add slashes between the quotes to get what you want.

date function will do the job!

print date("m/d/Y H:i:s",time());
