Yeah, I won't use any other board. All of Jupitermedia's sites were replaced with vBulletin last year and I have three others that I work on with vB. The admin side is outstanding, but so many options it can be confusing to a new-comer.
What kind of hardware and usage will you have?
The biggest site I work with, using vB is flashkit.com. We have over 1.7 million posts in the DB and approx 390,000 members. The site serves 1.2 million pages per day. We had a problem with it on a dual 800 with 1 gig of RAM. We just moved to a dual 2.8 gig with 4 gigs of ram and it's flying. We do have a seperate, much less powerful DB server, though.
