PHP and Mac

I have no idea about Mac, so please consider it when you reply.

Well, I'm asked to develop a web application on a Mac machine. The machine is running the so-called AppleShare 6.0.

Now, is there a way to run PHP on Mac machine? Anyone has an idea about what webservers can be used on Mac?

You can run PHP on a Mac uonly if the OS is OS X.

The old OS 9 and before does not support it. Appleshare 6 is not an OS X product so I am assuming the machine is running on a pre OS X version (which won't work).

If the Mac is running OS X, then you can run Apache, MySQL, and PHP with no problems whatsoever. OS X Server actually ships with these services preinstalled.
