how to check if a string contains "XXX"

ok.. i searched php.net for like 30 minutes, and I can't find anything on it...

I have a website that has several different domain names that all point to the same place.

I have a script running, that I want to check to make sure $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] contains one of my domains. I know there is a contains function in pearl, but I can't find one in php..

is there one, or how is the best way to do this. ??

if(in_array("http://www.mydomain.com", "$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']")) {
echo "Array contains value!";
} else {
echo "Damn";

this probably won't work, and I don't think it's what you are looking for.

do I get it right that you want to search for a specific substring within a string rather than a specific value in an array?

if so, take a look at strstr() and stristr().

Keep in mind that strstr() is (string haystack, string needle)

$ref = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
$dom = 'http://www.mydomain.com';

if (($ref) and (!strstr($ref, $dom))) { 
echo "Array contains value!";
} else {

my problem is i want to seperate the array into two, one that equal to the value i want and other which is not equal to the value
how is it possible
