Has anyone else had any problems when using php_zip.dll with the decompression of zipped images such as .gif's and .jpg's being horribly corrupted when decompressed using the functions that are provided in with this .dll?

I can decompress any ascii file but zipped images are very very very messed up, all of them.

I am tested and so have many of my clients when they upload zips then decompress them. This for me is a very serious problem.

Any help on this topic is very appreciated.

When you read the files into PHP, do you use "r" or "rb" in the fopen() call? Since you're using a Windows machine, not specifying that the file is a binary will pretty much guarantee that it gets corrupted.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh,

Weedpacket once again you have pointed out an important fact that I simple failed to observe with regards to the OS.

By using rb for reading and wb (instead of w+) for writing the problem is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
