Yes. I think there is one out already which at the moment an unstable version so i suggest waiting until there is a stable version

Recently I heard something about it that zend engine 2.0 is gonna be core engine for php 5. And it is not released yet but supposed to be released in summer..

one thing I thing that go me excited is the talk of deconstructors in the new version. PHP is on its way to becoming a fully fledge OOP language 😃

With GTK out there (only got my teeth into it recently), hopefully in the near future ZEND (or others) will release a visual studio type application where we can build PHP destop application with ease as we would with our big brother visual C++
