Timeout during File Upload

I'm receiving a timeout error when uploading files that are 300 k.
I've checked my php.ini and I can upload a max of 2 M.

I've also used a set_time_limit(20*60), but I still get the error, and safe mode is turned off in my php.ini

Here's my code

Not sure when the $_FILES varibles get registered - I suspect it is not until the file is done uploading.

Try placing your set_time_limit() call at the very start of your script rather than inside the if statement.

I did that, but it still does not work !!!!

Not much help but this may explain a few things

set_time_limit() has no effect when PHP is running in safe mode

Also you may want to look into using a PERL script as i believe that this could do larger uploads.

I need to upload MP3's so i need a 20-30 min MAX time, so i cannot do this in PHP (i think)

The only other way is to use FTP acounts, but i need all the information about the file (name, size, location etc.) to be stored in the DB.

I will post if i find out any information.
