I would like to install a php messageboard for the first time.
The read-me file says:
"Check if the PHP program is running as user = your name, or user = 'nobody', 'www' or similar (this is more common). This information is displayed in the lower right corner of the page.
If the user is not you, then you have to modify the access rights of your directories. Provide write access to others for the directory named 'common' under the base directory and to the messageboard directories. The software will ask you to provide write access whenever it is unable to write a file or directory. If you have user = your name then you won't have these problems".
The information in the lower right corner is "user="
But, how is write access to others supposed to be provided?
