mysqld not found on RH8

Hello,

I installed RH8 on my computer, but when I try to run mysqld it says file not found. However, I can see and view mysqld. Just for the hell of it I tried running sh mysqld... and it worked.
Does anybody know why I can execute script using sh mysqld, but not plain mysqld?

The location of mysqld is not in the path - echo $PATH to see.
